i) Qualification
BE / B.Sc Engg. (Telecomm / Electronics / Electrical (major in Telecomm) from HEC recognized universities.
ii)Experience (Post Qualification)
BE / B.Sc (Engg):05 years
MS (Engg):03 years
Ph.D (Engg):02 years
iii) Registration with Pakistan Engineering Council.
iv) Preference shall be given to retired Army Officer with relevant qualification and experience.
Major Repobsibilities
DE (Defense),in addition to managing / supporting all defense relatedaspects, shall also improve existing systems to ensure efficient, effective and timely decision-making and drive the NTC as a fully performing unit taking timely decisions in all its defined spheres. Some of key job responsibilities are:
Assist CE (Defense) in planning for shifting of government / Armed forces telecommunication interface from PTCL to NTC
Liaison with representation of MoIT&T and Defense for smooth approval process of PC-1 interface project
Liaison with Army, Navy and Air Force to fulfill their telecommunication requirements
Coordination with other NTC concerned department with reference to the selection of equipment based on latest technology related to Defense works
Coordination with all maintenance and development regions of NTC to cater for the requirements related to the Defense Telecommunication projects
Fixation of physical targets for field Directors of NTC for implementation of Defense project and supervision of works in progress
To conduct the field survey of Defense / NTC site for proper planning / project execution
Supervision of Defense project execution as per requirement of CE (Defense)
Inspection of Defense project activities with reference to technical specification and specified standards
Monitoring of Defense project progress with reference to the time target
Implementation of the policies laid down by CE (Defense) for project performance achievements
Handling of the office management of the CE (Defense) department
